Brian Berns

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board

Brian is a successful software industry veteran with over 20 years of executive experience, including as President at Ericom Software. Brian also held the position of Division VP at FICO and SVP of North America at Brio Software (acquired by Oracle). Additionally, Brian has been the founding member of several successful software start-ups including Certona and Proginet.

Brian has a BA from Yeshiva University, an MS from NYU, including studies at the NYU Stern School of Business MBA program, and computer science at the graduate school of the NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

Tim Murphy

Chief Technology Officer

Tim Murphy brings more than 25 years of development experience in creating innovative systems in Business Process Management (BPM), scientific visualization and finance. Before joining Knoa, Tim was Director of Software Development, North America at Markit, a privately held financial services organization, and Director of Applications Systems Development with Mobius System, now a division of Allen Systems Group, Inc.

Prior to Mobius, Tim held a number of positions in senior development roles in Nomura Securities International, Inc. and IBM Research. (NYSE:IBM).

Tom Trometer

Chief Financial Officer

Tom Trometer is responsible for the financial management of Knoa’s operations. In this role he provides oversight for the financial management of the business, directs the corporate treasury function, establishes the protocols and standards for internal reporting, including Human Resources, and assists in building the business model and plan, shareholder communication, and risk management for the company. Mr. Trometer has over 25 years of experience and has served as the CFO for both publicly traded and privately held companies. Mr. Trometer’s extensive experience with small, innovative, pioneering companies makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for Knoa Software.

Mr. Trometer is a CPA with a BS in accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Bogdan Nica

Vice President, Product & Services

Bogdan has been with Knoa Software since the early start-up days, when the company pioneered its innovative solutions in the user analytics space. He has over 20 years of experience in enterprise software, including product design,  development and management, implementation services and support, and partner alliances.

Bogdan holds an MS in Information Systems and BA in Philosophy.

Adrienne Racanelli

Director of Sales

Adrienne is responsible for driving sales initiatives, cultivating lasting partnerships with clients and partners, and contributing to the company’s overall mission of delivering cutting-edge software solutions that increase technology adoption and user engagement to organizations globally. Adrienne has over a decade of marketing and sales experience in the software and healthcare industries.

Adrienne holds a BS in Marketing from Siena College.

Joe Negley

Director of Enablement

Joe Negley provides advisory support to both Knoa and partner sales teams, specializing in helping customer and partner organizations refine programs to support their learning initiatives and GTM strategy.  Joe has over 20 years of technical consulting and software sales experience with companies such as Alteryx, SAP, and Cerner.

Joe holds a BA in History from Boston College.

Erik Figueredo P.E.

Executive Sales Consultant

Erik provides strategic advisory support to the Knoa sales team. This comes after serving as Knoa’s CRO and SVP of Global Sales for over a decade.  Before joining Knoa, Erik was the Vice President and Chief Engineer at CompuVid, a privately-held industrial automation solutions provider in South Florida and Lead Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman, a major defense contractor.

Erik holds an MS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Engineering, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He is also a licensed and certified Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Electrical Contractor (E.C.) in the State of Florida
